Application Deployment deadline RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have application package with 1GB. My plan is to download application package in advance i.e. from 5/13/2020 and install on 05/22/2020 at 10PM

    But in

few(Below 1%) of machines its installed immediately

So here what is wrong, My assumption is application should install after 5/22/2020

Can someone please help me to get clear on Application Deployment deadline

  • There's nothing wrong with what you have configured and automatic enforcement won't happen until the deadline. Users may have initiated the installation though either directly or by checking the checkbox that says automatically install outside of my business hours.

  • Hi,

The Available means the user sees the application in Software Center. They can install it on demand.
If the application isn't hidden, a user can track its deployment status. They can also use Software Center to install the application before the deadline.
The Deadline means all machines will install the application automatically after the deadline.
So you configured it correctly, some users could installed it manually.

For more details about application deployment Scheduling settings, you may refer to:

  • Thank you Allen, but we deployed application as hidden in software center

  • Then those systems could already have had the software installed and simply met the detection rule.

Have you reviewed appdiscovery.log and appenforce.log?

  • Then you should open a support case to further investigate as I've never seen this happen before.

  • Hi,

Is there any update for this issue? Has it solved by CSS support?
