  • Hello,

    Read the sequencing whitepaper;

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/7/8/F784A197-73BE-48FF-83DA-4102C05A6D44/App-46_Sequencing_Guide_Final.docx

    It specifically deals with these types of scenarios

  • Sorry, I am not sure if I understand the problem correctly but if you want to check if its okay to install the application to C: drive during sequencing then YES. There is no harm in selecting C: drive when sequencing the application and performance issues are negligible (atleast its proved now).

  • Hi Thank for the reply my post

    Yes is exactly my problem but when i read this document http://download.microsoft.com/.../MSAppVirt45Trial_Guide_Final.docx i sequence only on drive Q:\subfolders. It's possible to sequence on drive C: ??? if yes, do you have a document or web site to explain that????

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    Sequencing on your C drive (Its called a VFS installation in App-v term) is not different than the Q: drive install. You just take the same install process while capturing. The only difference is you dont select the Q: drive for your installation directory. Rest are same.

    Hope that helps.

  • You can sequence the application with C: drive itself, if the application doesn't allow you to change it to Q: drive. There is no harm in it. It will work fine. Some applications will work only when it is installed to its default installation path.
