Uninstalling Office2013 with ConfigManager 2012 fails

Question

Hi,
I initially had this problem and can also confirm that latest version works.
However, no matter which version I try I am having trouble uninstalling in SCCM 2012.
I am finding that I have to kill the appvclient.exe process otherwise I get
"The software change returned error code 0x87D0128F(-2016406897)."
We are not using folder redirection on appdata and have App V Client 5.0 SP2 installed. I have also tried installing App V 5.0 Sp2 hotfix 5 just in case.
From the AppEnforce log:
<![LOG[CAppV5XHandler::UninstallApp() failed to uninstall the app (DTId = ScopeId_540844B1-D869-4D92-81BC-A9A5F83B0B93/DeploymentType_8928cb98-5037-46c0-8e80-557072f9eb87, Revision = 10), error (0x87d0128f).]LOG]!><time="09:08:44.775+00" date="11-21-2014" component="AppEnforce" context="" type="3" thread="6272" file="appv5xhandler.cpp:928">
Has anyone had issues uninstalling ?
Thanks.

The App-V Client SP2 Hotfix 5 should solve the uninstall and upgrade errors when the package is in use, which happens often due to shell extensions. In essence, the App-V client will now tell SCCM the job completed but put the request in a pending state to be completed whenever the package is closed (which might be on logoff).

Have you confirmed that the application is not in use when trying to do the uninstall. perhaps just stopping the app-v package will be enough. We use the publishing server and have that problem often during removal process.Friday, November 21, 2014 4:48 PM

Is it gone after a reboot?
