KB3083710 and KB3083711 stating wrong versions of WUA? RRS feed

  • Question

  • As stated in current KB3083710 and KB3083711 the new Windows Update Agents should have the versions
    Windows 7:     7.6.7601.19004
    Windows 8.1:  7.9.9600.18053

On our WSUS Server these slightly newer versions are reported for patched systems:
    Windows 7:     7.6.7601.19016
    Windows 8.1:  7.9.9600.18066

Is this only due to a flaw in documentation of KBs or a technical issue on WSUS-side?

  • Seems that Microsoft detected the missmatch and corrected versions in KBs with Revision 2.0:

  • Hi,

    >>Is this only due to a flaw in documentation of KBs or a technical issue on WSUS-side?

I check it in my lab and my clients' version is same with yours.

Then I find that the version on the win7 client is 7.6.7601.19016, which means that WSUS is correct.

But if we look at the modification data of the WUA, we will find that the WUA has been updated after the release of KB3083710 and KB3083711.

    Best Regards.
