Local Security Policy Import Access Denied RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I export Local security policy from my pc and trying to import it to other pc but its showing access denied.

    Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum.

    First, I would suggest you check whether it is a corrupted GP file issue or a incorrect permission issue, please try to open Device Manager, do you have a access denied issue?
    And what is the environment? In a domain or a stand-alone PC?

    If in a domain, then check whether you have been set to denied access to GPO.
    If it is a standalone PC, locate to C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol, delete the file, reboot PC (your policy will be reset to default ).
