New tab in the user profile on the Portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I would create a new tab in the user profile page on the FIM 2010 Portal.

To do so I need to modify only:

    • RCDC Configuration for User Editing
    • RCDC Configuration for User Viewing

adding a new grouping tab and running an IISRESET, isn't it?

I tryed following also what indicated in the post http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/c2e88bc2-cedc-4fb0-a34c-633b2004c2e2 but I'm not able to create the new tab, actually I cannot view also new attributes in existend tabs..

Note that I added new attributes also in the MPR "Administrators can read and update users".

    Any idea?

    Francesca

  • Hi,

To add you only need to update

    RCDC Configuration for User Editing

and then replace the update file with the existing.

And you also have to run iisrest command after make the changes in portal.

If the problem did not resolve please write here your xml part which you are adding.

  • It looks like your changes didn't get picked up. When you uploaded the new XML and submitted the change, did it indicate the text was changed?

If you make a mistake, you usually get an errored page, so it really seems like the changes didn't get uploaded.

And IISRESET (which I don't think you mnetioned)
