Power Kernel Failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been experiencing Power Kernal Failure errors recently.  (Win 7 Professional 64-bit).  Below is the detail from the error log for the most recent one.  I can also send the dmp file if that helps.

    Many thanks,

    Phliip Robinson.

  • 159 = 0x9F (hex) = Bug Check 0x9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your Skydrive [1] and post a link here, so that I can look at the dumps with the debugger and to to see the cause of the crash.
