  • i tried over and over but for some reason it will not work.  is their any way to disable auto login.  these stupid settings caused me to be in a loop for an hour trying to log in as admin when the user account had high restrictions on.

  • If you mean you are trying to stop the automatic login process at startup, you need to hold down both Shift keys while windows starts up and it will halt at a login screen so you

can log in as a different user.

  • while in steady state a menu option says it hides the administrator user and  that you have to  hit ctrl alt dlt twice to open the login dialog box to log in as admin
I just tried it and it just stays at the welcome screen for a while and wont let you select any users then after about a minute it logs me in automatically.
Is there a easy way to disable auto login that is relatively easy.  Becasue in control userpasswords2 i tried making it so that you had to put a user and a password in at login but it keeps auto logging in.

  • Hi, when you select “remove the administrator user name  from the welcome screen”, it’s need press CTRL+ALT+Del twice to log on. So when you press CTRL+ALT+Del twice,

the welcome screen will appear and ask you to input administrator’s account and password. If you want to login in with other user you have set, just press Esc than you

    can select the user.
