Failure configuring Windows updates on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64bit under VMware

Hello all, I have tried many solution on Google but above error is still occured.

Failure configuration Windows updates Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer.

Kindly if you guys can provide any other suggestion (except reinstallation of Windows 2008 R2)

Hi,

When you install updates, it will shows "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes.".
