S2D 2Node Switchless Interconnect Query RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am building a 2Node S2D setup. I have my hardware which includes 4x 10GB GbE.

2 of these will be used for the switchless interconnection between the nodes. However, I am unclear whether I can Team these together to give a 20GB connection with some resilience?

Or do I keep them un-teamed and still utilise all 4?

If I do Team, which Teaming mode is best for this setup?

  • Hi,

teaming switchless interconnects will not help you increase resilience, nor will it magically get you more bandwidth. S2D will utilise all links it can find so just give the two pairs IP addresses in different subnets and you're as good as it gets in switchless.
