I bought a new laptop with windows 7 and it goes into safe mode and I do not know how to get it out of safe mode? RRS feed

  • Since it's a new laptop, contact the manufacturer's tech support. That way, if there's a real problem with it, you'll have a (virtual) paper trail to prove you've contacted them in case they want you to send it in for repair.

  • Hi

    When you turn on the computer, quickly press F8.

    Then, select Repair Your Computer.

    Enter your Administrator Password.

    And go to the Command Prompt.

    And type this at the command prompt as stated below:-

    bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot

    restart your computer.

    You should be able to see the Windows boot again.

    Or  (Try this steps first then try the above)

    If you can login to Safe boot.

    Go to Command Prompt.

    And type as stated below:-

    msconfig

    Once the MSCONFIG System Configuration menu comes up.

    Go to Boot Tab or Boot Option.

    Untick, Safe Boot.

    Select OK.

    And reboot.
