  • Hi

After removed the document audit will not happen on the document.

The last removed audit action will be recorded for that document.

  • Hi Adel, I am a communications rep with AvePoint. To answer your question, when you remove a document SP audit will generate a deletion audit event accordingly. While the previous audit data related to the document will not be affected but the audit logs might be trimmed if you have configured audit log trimming. Please take a look at the AvePoint site to help answer any additional questions that you may have: https://www.avepoint.com/.

  • Hi Adel,

Removing and restoring  Items/Document is One of the actions which can be tracked using the power of SharePoint Audit logs, and consequently removing a document will fire an action for logging the deletion event in the audit tables , so removing a document won't mean removing the related audit data sequentially, BUT conversely  the Audit logs track document deleting action/event.

and you as a site collection administrator, you can retrieve the history of actions taken by a particular user and can also retrieve the history of actions taken during a particular date range.
