Windows 7 x64 Readyboost Missing Tab RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 7 x64 Readyboost Missing Tab. I have been using readyboost for years with windows 7 and had no issue until this week when it stopped working and the Tab disappeared from the properties options. I have tried several different USB memory sticks and they all work in my laptop as readyboost but wont work in my desktop. Can anyone help with this as all I can find on the web is Vista related posts about the readyboost service and there is no service for windows 7.

  • make sure that the Superfetch service is running. This service hosts the ReadyBoost driver in Windows 7.

  • I have compared the services and there state on 2 Win 7  machines and they are both the same.

First machine readyboost is not working and on the second it is. It odd that autorun prompts to use the drive to speed up my pc and when I select it there is no tab to enable ready boost or test the drive.
