Publish took more than one hour in some cases RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have a 6000 line project plan and when published sometimes it took 2 min or around 1 hour.

And when it took 1 hour, it is stuck at %42 and I could not find a way to see what is the problem or any log. I I am trying to find out why is it stuck on that percentage for a long time?

Is there any way to be able to see the progress in detail or log file to cause of the issue?

    Best regards,

    Ozay

  • Hello,

%42 got stuck in bottom ribbon? Have you checked in other views to see when exactly the project was published?

Once I got this kind of problem, but it was just stuck bottom ribbon, on 42% or similar.

  • Hi,

I am checking from online page on "Manage Queue Jobs" view. Second time today it happens and currently I am waiting nearly one hour.

  • Long publishes can be caused by many things.

    1) Something in the schedule itself causing an issue.  For example, a task duration going out several uses and work per days is less than minute

    2) Calculation on custom task field causing a lot of calculation

    3) corrupt schedule

    4) load on server or SQL Server

  • Hello,

If you can consistently reproduce this in Project Online, open a support ticket on your Office 365 tenant so that Microsoft can review the logs.
