How to the get Requestor name in the Powershell custom workflow activity ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    Here is the code I used to get details:

    SequentialWorkflow containingWorkflow;
    if (!SequentialWorkflow.TryGetContainingWorkflow(this, out containingWorkflow))
    {
    throw new FIMPowerShellActivityException("Could not retrieve the containing workflow.");
    }

    //Getting details as like below

    containingWorkflow.WorkflowDefinitionId;

    containingWorkflow.RequestId;

    containingWorkflow.ActorId;

    containingWorkflow.TargetId;

    containingWorkflow.WorkflowDictionary;

    In the same way can we get Requestor name(who is running the workflow from FIM) ?

    Please help me with this/any other suggestion to get the requestor name.

    Thanks.

  • Use a ReadResource activity and give it your ContainingWorkflow's ActorID. You'll get a person resource, from which you can get the displayname or other attributes of the requestor.
