[SCCM2012 SP1] Can the SCCM Server be installed in the domain Function Level 2000 Environment ? RRS feed

  • HI,

     Can the SCCM Server be installed in the domain Function Level 2000 Environment ?

    there are 3 sites in my ENV,

    1 CAS and 2 Primary Sites

     a Primary site will be create in the other  Domain and the domain function level is Windows 2000,

      The Primary site can work fine ?

  • That is correct, i should should be mentioned that.

    You can install on a domain Function Level 2000 but you don't get all features.

    The function to filter and remove stale computer records is a really great feature but not necessary

  • Domain functional level must be Windows 2003 or higher

     I found the following information in the site, It seems Ok in Windows2000.

    But, I don't know  what is the Damage in the future.

    All System Center 2012 Configuration Manager site systems must be members of a Windows Active Directory domain that has a domain functional level of Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2.

    noteNote
    If you configure discovery to filter and remove stale computer records, the Active Directory domain functional level must be a minimum of Windows Server 2003.
