We are running SSRS reports in SharePoint 2013 Extranet sites. We had been working with no problems for months, now, our reports are losing the credentials and users are prompted to enter their credentials which will not work. Once we load a
report into the Report Server site, we open the report in Report Builder and change the credentials to use a specific Windows authentication account and then resave the report. The site then opens the report using the specific credentials.
Now, the reports lose the credentials every day. I can reenter the credentials and resave the report, but then later the credentials disappear again.
It may occur due to the credentials settings of the report. On the SharePoint site, open the "Mnage Data Sources" page of the report through the drop-down menu, and check whether the report uses a embedded data source or shared data source. Then,
check whether the embedded/shared data source uses "Prompt for credentials" or "Windows authentication (integrated) or SharePoint user" option. If so, check the Stored credentials option instead, and supply the user name and password, and click OK. If
it is a Windows account (such as a domain account), please also check the "Use as Windows credentials" option.
