SCOM 2007 alert: Outlook Performance Failure (Mailbox) On Local Server - Outlook users may be experiencing slow response times when trying to access their mailboxes. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Looking for a little help troubleshooting this alert.

    Alert description: If Outlook network traffic is being routed to this server 'Company', Outlook users may be experiencing slow response times when trying to access their mailboxes.

    Impacted Entities (1):
    Outlook Mailbox Performance Counter - cas01 -> mbx02

    I saw this forum post, but he doesn't have an answer. I also saw the TechNet article about "MSExchange RpcClientAccess Per Server RPC Average Latency (Backend)," but I don't see the counter, "MSExchange RpcClientAccess Per Server" in perfmon.

    How should I go about minimizing these alerts? Thanks.

  • Hi,

    This could be the performance related issue. We need to verify it from performance monitor to verify it we have issue of the connectivity between exchange and outlook.

    What is the version of your Exchange Server?  From my lab, exchange 2010 with sp2 patched, I can find MSExchange RpcClientAccess Per Server from Performance Monitor.
