How to tackle time zone difference?

hey guys,
i got a real situation here....
we are developing a page for our company's sharepoint site which will display the name of employee whose birthday is on that day i saved the employee details in a list & showing the results using dataview webpart it almost works fine but now the problem is our sharepoint server is hosted in seattle, USA & right now when i run this code from India it shows rong results cos it compares the date from the list with the server's date & hence causes a bug cos of the time difference. now can anyone of you suggest what should i do....???:-(

Hi,

Here is blog post about how to get time zones information from SharePoint
SPRegionalSettings.GlobalTimeZones - How to build world clock / get time zones information in SharePoint

You can use it to calculate timezone difference between India time and US time. Then compare your list items with calcuated time (= US time - India&US time difference).
But if your SharePoint site NOT only use by people from India, you'll need to figure out their client machine time zone.
