Exchange Server Email Account Unreachable RRS feed

  • I use the email app in Windows 8.1 for my exchange server email account through my employer.  It works fine when added to the app until I connect with VPN - using Cisco AnyConnect - to my remote desktop.  After ending the remote desktop session the app tells me that my email account is unreachable.  To fix I remove and re-install the account.  Can anyone think of what setting is changing during the remote desktop connection that disables the email app's ability to reconnect?  BTW, I have several exchange server email accounts that are used for different calendar syncs.  They don't seem to be affected at all.

    I just checked a thought I had - If I don't open my email while connected through the remote desktop, the app remains unaffected after ending the session.  So, the problem occurs only if I open my email during a session.  BTW my employers email server is Exchange 2003 - my remote desktop is Office Outlook 2010 -My tablet is a Surface Pro - Windows 8.1.
