Dont ask why but on another client i had 2 instances of the client installed..

    Upgrade code '{252DA259-82CA-4177-B8D0-49C78937BA3E}': product = '{D97113AD-690F-4169-8637-4A046282D8F6}', installed = 1, version = 4.00.5931.0001    ccmsetup    05/12/2012 10:35:11    3324 (0x0CFC)
    Upgrade code '{252DA259-82CA-4177-B8D0-49C78937BA3E}': product = '{2609EDF1-34C4-4B03-B634-55F3B3BC4931}', installed = 1, version = 4.00.6487.2000    ccmsetup    05/12/2012 10:35:11    3324 (0x0CFC)

Looked for all and couldnt find a way to get rid of it..

then i search on HKLM on the machine for the client version (4.00.5931.0001)

then i found a key (2 to be more specific) on for each installation version on the following path

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\

Only removed them and i was able to install client 2012 without any issues..

    Thanks anyway Guys

  • 0x8007064c = The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
Seems as if the CM07 client sources are missing. You could try to delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\  \ConfigMgr, \CCM and \SMS manually.

  • Where did you run ccmsetup /uninstall from? Have you tried running the old version from the old server and not just the copy available locally on the clients?

  • I used the SMS 2003 Advanced Client and Management Point cleaner tool and it took care of the issue
