DHCP Management Pack

General discussion

I just have installed scom 2007 r2 and also deployed all agents to my servers successfully. I have now imported the windows dhcp pack. But when i deploy and install it only has a mp file for w2008 r2 dhcp servers, and when i installed the views are for w2008 R2 dhcp servers only.
This is the only the dhcp pack i can find and it does say w2000/2003/2008 dhcp servers, but when installed its only for w2008 r2 servers.
I need it for my w2003 dhcp servers
anyone else had this issue

Hello,
How did you import the DHCP MP? Direct from your harddrive of via the web catalog? Because when you connect to the web catalog, and enter "DHCP" in the search box, you will see multiple MP's for all of the Windows Server versions. You need so select all of them (including the library MP which is a dependency for all versions) to monitor all versions.
Hope this helps, good luck!

Hi,
I just noticed Windows Server 2003 is supported. Please try again referring to the management pack guide:
Windows Server DHCP Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager 2007
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

I need to install the Windows 2003 version of the DHCP MP. According to this Technet download page, the download includes the Win2003 version, but when I run it I only get see the following MP extracted "Microsoft.Windows.2008R2.DHCP.Server.mp". I tried searching for the DHCP 2003 version, but no success. Am I overlooking something? Any clarification would be appreciated.

no you aren't overlooking anything. This mp finds all dhcp servers, it's just misleading in its name. See here for what you need to do for previous versions and what i'm hoping microsoft will do very soon (idle hope ofcourse).
