  • Question

  • So my current setup has mail pointed to one of my hub transport servers and i just implemented an edge server.

now if i initiate edge sync will mail still come to my hub until i point it to the edge server ?

i will change the internal dns once edge sync is complete but will it interupt incoming/outgoing email ?

  • As Fred Mentioned, your mail will continue to flow normally to your HUB server as long as you have your traffic flowing to it. How that is set up depends on your network configuration, though. Most people will have a NAT set up to point a specific IP address on Port 25 to their HUB servers. That will not change when you set up the Edge server, and mail will flow directly to the HUB as it always has. Once you switch that configuration to point to the Edge Server, mail will start going to Edge and transfer to the HUB server through the connectors configured by Edge Sync.
