  • Hi,

I had the same experience as you (difference between us is only the number of files infected).
I suspect MSRT(Malicious Software Removal Tool) must have bug or do false retrieval. So, I don't use it.
Please send a feed back to MS.

    Regards,

    Ashidacchi

    P.S.
I've download the latest MSRT and executed it and found the scanned report said Not Infected, though while scanning the count of infected files were increasing.

  • Thank you. I still have questions about the problem.
And besides Malwarebytes, adwclean I only trust the antivirus software from M $.

I have seen the problem a long time ago, on many different versions. I have asked many forums but no one really got the answer!!!
The version I downloaded is from the M $ site, and probably the latest version.

  • The Microsoft windows malicious software removal tool Nov 2017 was just ran on 2 computers.

During the scan it displayed many infected files.

When the scan completed on both computers there were 0 infected files.

Both displayed:  No malicious software was detected.
