Unable to refresh PowerPivot report over SharePoint using Power BI Data Source RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a MySQL Database hosted on AWS which I am using with my PowerPivot. I want my PowerPivot report to get refreshed on SharePoint and so I am trying to setup the datasource through Power BI Admin Center. I have performed the following steps to do so:

    1. Successfully configured gateway using Data Management Gateway service.
    2. Clicked on DataSource in Power BI Admin Center and tried to add a data source.
    3. As I have a MySQL Database, I used Power Query to add new Data source. I found that it does not support the Power Pivot connection String, and so I manually created the connection string, which is as below:

    Driver=MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver; Server={host URL};Port=3306;Database={db_name}; Uid={db_user_name};Pwd={db_pwd};

    Also tried,

    Data Source={System DSN};User Id={db_user_name};Password={db_pswd};Integrated Security=no;

    Am I missing any steps or is there any issues with my connection string? It is giving me following error:

    "Invalid Power Query Connection String : The Power Query connection string is invalid. Please make sure the Power Query version you are using is supported by the Admin Center"

    Also, how can I check Power Query version is supported by Admin Center or not.

    Thanks
