Access 2010 Talbe Number Entry

    Question

  • When I enter a real numbert (i.e. with decimal places) the number is rounded into an integer. Set the number of decimal places displayed to three (ex. 0.000). So 3.4 becomes 3.000, 3.6 becomes 4.000.

  • Do as following:
    1. Choose the Data Type as “Number”.
    2. Set Format as “Standard”.
    3. Increase Decimals to  “3”. (Actually when we increase the Decimals, the Format will automatically set as “Standard”.)

  • The number itself is rounded off, not just the display. As I say above: I enter 3.4, it turns into 3.000. Is there some number type I'm missing?
