USBXpress port needing it to be a Virtual Com Port RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all

Trying to get a Virtual Com Port running in Windows 8.1. I have a USB/ALDL cable and whenever this is plugged into the computer it is recognised as a USBXpress port. I need to somehow change this so that I have a VCP. I've tried deleting the USBXpress drivers and installing drivers from the manufacturer to set up a virtual com port but all to no avail. I've tried various ways of rebooting the computer with drivers deleted and added but again no success. I'd appreciate any help on this one. Thanks
