2007 Information store will not start- Error 7024 RRS feed

  • I have an exchange 2007 running on a virtual 2008 server. After rebooting the information store will not restart. Error 7024

    Searched high and low for a solution.... hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

    Step 1:

    For the IS modify the following key
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS
    \DependOnService]
    add "MSExchangeSA" to the list

    Step 2:

    Change registry as per below article and then check it (make sure you have taken backup of registry before doing anything in registry)

    Exchange Store Does Not Start: Errors 7024, 1026, 9542, and 5000:

  • Did you try running the Database troubleshooter in EMC, toolbox? What did it say?
