Windows Server group policy to open word document in draft view RRS feed

    Hello,

    We are using Windows Server 2008 and Office 2007. Is there any option through gruop policies, that enables opening of word documents in draft view (or view in which the document was saved last time) rather than default print view.

    Hi,

    I have no idea if this fuction can be achieved by group policy.

    But I think if you check this setting, your all documents will be opened using Draft view.

    1. Launch Word Options by clicking on the "Office" button at the top left of the window. Click the "Word Options" button at the bottom of the menu.

    2. Select the "Advanced" option to the left of the Word Options window.

    3. Scroll down to the General section of the Advanced Options window and click to select "Allow opening a document in Draft view." All documents will now open using Draft view.
