  • Hi,

I am going to deploy office communicator 2007 r2 to a terminal server and XP computers.
I would like to ask if possible to diable the auto start and update for ALL users?

    Thanks,

  • You can use the communicator.adm to change settings

Disable the update feature on the pool and use WSUS

  • We are in a similar situation where we need to suppress the auto start feature for r2 communicator for user's who don't have an IM account but have the client installed due to our standard core load.

I'm not seeing anything in the r2 communicator.adm  that allows us to selectively suppress the auto start feature in communicator r2. We were able to suppress it in 2007 communicator a while back with a registry setting but that does not appear to be a valid option in r2.

    Any ideas?
