System Centre Essentials 2007 server reporting agents not contacted yet RRS feed

  • I have installed the agents onto about 30 computers but the server is reporting that they have not been contacted yet?

    Any ideas?

  • How long has it been since you installed the agents?
    Have the client computers been rebooted since the agent was pushed to them?

  • Its been a day or two now.

    The clients will have been restarted by now

  • I have reinstalled the client on a couple of PC's but it still states that the monitoring has an error any ideas?

  • Hi,

    First, you can go to monitoring->active alerts to check what alert prompts. Also, for SCE agent server show with "Not Yet Contacted", you can check %Windir%\windowsup.log for details.

  • Hi,

    Sorry for my typo. I mean it is the %windir%\windowsupdate.log. In this log, it will record the information for troubleshooting not yet contacted problem. You can look into this log on problematice clients for details. Please send the log to scedata@microsoft.com for further research.
