Javascript code bugs IE and werfault RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • javascript:window.open("about:blank", "myWindow", "status=1");The error is this: if you give window.open() the attribute "status=1", werfault says the fully responsive IE process has crashed. If you terminate werfault (from task manager), all that stops working is the tab.

I have got Norton installed and so am in Advanced Protected Mode to keep IE working, which might create this odd behaviour.

    IE11 (32-bit) KB3021592

  • Hi,

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, uncheck "enable third-party browser extensions". Save your changes. Close all open IE windows for the full changes to take affect.

see also Troubleshooting and IE's noAddons Mode

    Regards.
