Email Notification ...not working consistenly RRS feed

    Hi,

     

    We have configured SCE2007 for notification of Network Card Failure and other server monitoring..We gets email for for alert in 1-2 hours after configuring notifications and then after we are not getting any emails..If we reconfigures again then it works fine for next 1-2 hours and then again not receiving any email for notifications....

     

    Any Idea...?

    Hi Tejas,

     

    This issue may occur if the Notification configuration you have done is somehow corrupted or the SMTP server have some trouble sending/receiving alert emails for your SCE server. Please consider the following scenarios:

     

    If the configured SMTP server is Microsoft Exchange Server and your domain user can use this Exchagne server to send/receive interanl and external emails correctly in your domain environment, for your reference, please check the following related thread to re-configure SCE notification from scratch:

    Note: After you have created a email subscription under Subscription node please make sure it is in "Enabled" status.

    After all the settings about Notificatin on SCE server are correctly configured but the issue still persists, then it should be caused by the message delivering componentp part, i.e. your Exchange server has encountered problems. Then you may need to troubleshoot the mail flow on the Exchange server side and it is not SCE issue. For example, you may need to check SMTP log and messaging tracking log for details.
