Clearing recent "move to" and "copy to " lists RRS feed

  • I really am trying to clear these lists the "Move to" and "Copy to" in the file explorer, but cannot figure it out have been looking different places .  Please help, as most of the folders in those lists dont exist anymore..

    Do you mean you want to disable "Move to" and "Copy to" when you right click the folder?

    If it does, you could delete the keys in registry to realize it. Please "regedit" in search box and enter. Then locate to the path below.

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

    Then delete the key called "Move to" and "Copy to" in the left pane. After that, restart your computer and check the issue.

    If you click on an item, choose Copy to or Move to and then select a Shortcut that doesn’t exist, you have the option to delete it from the list.
