Unexpected token ')' after upgrading PowerShell RRS feed

  • Question

  • I (foolishly) ran the Chocolatey package manger command to upgrade all my packages. Now when I try and run any node package I get the error:

    At C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Yarn\bin\rimraf.ps1:5 char:13
    +     *CYGWIN*) basedir=`cygpath -w "$basedir"`;;
    +             ~
    Unexpected token ')' in expression or statement.

    <snip>

    My version of powershell is

  • Sorry but this is not a chocolatey forum. Contact the author of the failing package or remove the package and re-install it.

  • All node packages are now failing when running their associated .ps1 script. They were working fine before the upgrade.

  • Then you need to fix your system.  We cannot access your system so there is little we can do.  It can be anything from disk corruption to malware.  If you can't figure it out start by resetting the system and build the modules back again.
