Physically Signable timesheets (Project Server 2010) RRS feed

  • We have recently implemented MS Project Server 2010 in our organization and we have a requirement to print time sheets for 40 odd resources every month to get physical signatures for billing purposes.

    I have 2 questions specifically..

    1) For every user, Project tasks are always billable but on administrative tasks, there can be both billable or non billable tasks. How should I manage these entries while contractors are filling the time sheets?

    2) Default out of the box Timesheet actual report doesn't work for us. Can somebody share any report sample which can give me a printable report for all my team members (1 page each) with billable and non billable split?

    • Unfortunately, Project Server is setup the reverse. Project Tasks can be reported as Billable and Non-Billable, but  Administrative Categories on a timesheet are always considered as Billable. If you need to track Non-Billable time, you might want to create a "project" and enable the non-billable time tracking from Server Settings >> Timesheeet Settings.
    • You could easily develop a report either in Excel or SSRS to fit your needs. Here is an example of how to develop a report in Excel and publish using Excel Services in project server 2010: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ndqw1Kfb_-k
