  •  I am an office manager at a library and we have computers that patrons use with a separate user account, well I need to know how to remove programs from the start menu so patrons can only have access to a couple of things, while when I am on the administrator account I can have everything in the start menu..................need help

  • Check the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\.

    Move any of the items you want to retain to the c:\users\administrator\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu folder.

    For the standard user go to there Start Menu in c:\users\<standard user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu and remove any items from there that you do not want.

    You could create a default profile on the device that the standard user is based on however the above will be a quick method if you only need to modify the existing accounts.
