Benefit of using Skype Director as next hop from a reverse Proxy RRS feed

    Can someone tell me whats the benefit of using Skype Director Server as Next hop from a Reverse Proxy Server?

    There is not very much documentation about using the Skype Director Server.

    The only information i could find is using the Director as next hop from the Edge server with sip traffic.

    If i understand right the Director only proxy the web url traffic to the Front End server.

    Is there some security mechanism in the Director for use with Reverse Proxy?

    Hi,

    Base on my understanding, the Director Server should authenticate both SIP and HTTP\HTTPS traffic.

    For the security mechanism with Reverse Proxy, it should be similar with Edge Server.
