  • You cannot manage DEP options via GUI anymore, use bcdedit instead like described here: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-data-execution-prevention

  • Hi,

On my computer, I can configure this settings on my Windows 10 1607.

Let's try to enable build-in administrator and reset the permission for your current account to check the results:

    1. Tap on the Windows-key. This should open the start menu or bring you to the Start Screen interface depending on how Windows 10 is configured on the system.
    2. Type cmd and wait for the results to be displayed.
    3. Right-click no the Command Prompt result and select "run as administrator" from the context menu.
    4. Run the command net user to display a list of all user accounts on the system.
To activate the inactive administrator account, run the command net user administrator /active:yes

The administrator account is active now which means that you can sign in to the system using it. It is not password protected by default which means that anyone with access to the system can use it to sign in to it.

Then, login with this Administrator account, then under Account settings, remove your previous account from Admin group, and then add again.

Change Account type to Standard user, and then change back to Administrator, then, re-login to your previous account to check the results:
