Domain Group Policy not being applied on workstations

  • We had migrated from a Windows 2003 SBS to Windows 2012

We changed our default domain policy to change our account lockout threshhold to 6 login attempts. We rebooted Windows 7 Pro workstations, and the threshold is stil at the origianl 50. Ran gpupdate /force, rebooted workstation; but it still didn't change. Waited until the next day, and it stil hasn't changed. I just ran the gpresult/v  command and the results  are:

      Applied Group Policy Objects
            Small Business Server Client Computer
Small Business Server Domain Password Policy
            Default Domain Policy
            Local Group Policy

I then tried to change the local group policy on my PC, and I don't have the option; and I am a domain administrator.

How can I enforce the domain policy? I must be missing something.

    Thanks for any assistance.

  • Figured it out. There was an SBS policy that was carried over from Windows 2003 when we upgraded. All set.
