  • Run MSConfig an disable everything in the Startup tab.  If the error goes away, re enable things in groups until you identify the culprit.

    Have you installed the Surf Canyon application ?

    This issue is related to the Surf Canyon application .If we don`t want to use this application ,we can remove it from the  control panel \programs\programs and features .If we want to use it ,we can reinstall it to have a check.
    Here is a link for reference of the Surf Canyon application.
    As the link  explained :TBUpdater.dll is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.

  • Im receiving a rundll error code at startup which reads: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Surf_Canyon\TBUpdater.dll
