Error When Activating Windows 7 Home Premium HELP!! RRS feed

  • I just reinstalled windows 7 and it said to type in activation code so i could use windows 7. I type it in and I get this error. "The Product Key You Have Entered Appears To Be The Default Product Key And Can Not Be Used For Activation. Try A Different Windows 7 Home Premium Product Key."

    HELP. I NEED IT TO WORK. THANKS

    You can try to activate via telephone to test the issue.


    1. When you reach the desktop click Start, then in the Search box type:  slui.exe 4 
    2. Press Enter on your Keyboard 
    3. Select your Country. 
    4. Select the Phone Activation option, then call the number given and hold for a real person. 


    If this issue persist, I suggest you contact the manufacturer to for help if this is a OEM version.


    If this is a retail version, please contact the Microsoft Customer Service for help.
