  • Hi,

I would like to confirm how did you watch the online videos, via Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player or other software?

Windows 7 freezing problem can be related to several factors, such as device drivers, program compatibilities, RAM usage and hardware heat, especially CPU heat. I would like to suggest you try the following:

    1. Make sure that all programs are compatible with Windows 7, it is recommended to contact software manufacturer to obtain the latest versions.
    2. Install Windows Updates. Windows Updates may enhance the software compatibility and system stability.
    3. Make sure that your computer is under ventilated environment. Clean your fan in your computer and make sure the heat emission of CPU is well.
    4. Update the security software and perform a full scan, see if the computer get virus infected.

If the issue still persists, please check if the issue occurs in Clean Boot. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue.

Also, when the issue occurs, please press Ctrl+Shift+Esc on the keyboard to bring up Task Manager. Click Processes tab and then find the process which is taking the most usage of the CPU.

In addition, whenever the computer crashes or freezes, you can check for error logs in the Even Viewer to find what exactly is causing the problem. Post the error logs here.

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?

    Hope it helps.
