Removing a hidden driver RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello

There's this driver that I need to remove but it's hidden.

I tried the below method to show the hidden driver but the driver I'm looking for still doesn't show up.

    set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
“View” menu, select “Show Hidden Devices”.

I see the driver file in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\

How would I go about removing that driver from my Windows 7 (64-bit) machine?

  • Hi

In windows we have option called pnputil.exe. run command prompt in elevated mode then run the pnputil -e it enumerate all third party drivers

then you can delete the same using  pnputil.exe -d oem.inf ( this is example only) chose the right drivers  while deleting drivers.

     All the best .....

    Thanks ,
