Randomly receive 'page cannot be displayed' when browsing on IE 11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

All users in the office every so often when browsing, experience 'page cannot be displayed' message on Internet Explorer 11. Internet is working in the office as they are able to send and receive emails, I have also seen this occur on a few other clients.

Typical example is when browsing to www.outlook.com, the client cannot get to the webpage at all and it is the same for all users.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Ashwin

  • Hi Ashwin,

After reading your issue, we would consider that the issue may be caused by the DNS address or the proxy server. Could you please tell me whether the Internet Explorer settings applying domain policy or IEAK? If it does, you need to contact your local administrator to modify the proxy settings in domain policy and the settings in IEAK.

If it doesn't, please go to "Tools" > "Internet Options" > “Connection" tab > "LAN Settings" > uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN". Then go to "Network and Sharing Center" > "Change adapter settings". Right click the adapter > "Status". After that, check if the DNS address is correct.

Also, we could help you better if you tell us the exact error message when you browsing.

    Good luck to fix it.

    Best Regards,

    Simon
