Log Analytics Chart pinned to Dashboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey!

Does anyone know a reason for my log analytics chart to have diferent colors used in the chart and the legend when it's pinned to a dashboard? and is there a way to fix this?

  • Hi Daniel, Here are the key takeaways from my meeting with the feature owner.

    1. The change in chart & legend color after pinging to dashboard is due to a legacy system behavior and cannot be reverted.
    2. The Feature team is aware of this (& other related issues) and are working diligently to improve chart visualizations look, feel & overall behavior.
    3. First phase of the work has been completed. Second phase is currently in progress and we expect to have new & improved log analytics charts published in the next month or two.
    4. Expect an official blog to communicate abovementioned improvements as we get closer to public release.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

  • Hello Daniel,

We were able to reproduce this issue and have engaged the feature owner to understand the reason behind the change in color & legend once the chart is pinned to a dashboard. Will share an update once we hear back.

Just in case you haven't seen this, wanted to call your attention to a few options that offer rich visualization/charting experience and are compatible with Azure Monitor's Log analytics. These include:

    1. Azure Monitor Views

    2. Workbooks

    3. Power BI

    Cheers.
