Gannt Chart Wizard in Project 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I'm currently rushing to finish an assessment in Project 2010 and I'm totally stumped at one bit.  My tutorials say that I have to format my gantt chart and in order to do this I have to go to Format -> Gantt Chart Wizard.  My tutorials are giving instructions for Project 2003 but I'm using 2010 and I cannot find the gantt chart wizard anywhere.  Can someone please please please point me in the right direction??  Panic is beginning to set in!!!

    Many thanks

You no longer need to use the Gantt Chart Wizard to format the Gantt Chart view.  Instead, apply the Gantt Chart view and then click the Format tab to display the Format ribbon with the Gantt Chart tools applied.  All of the tools you need are available on this ribbon.  If you absolutely INSIST that you must use the Gantt Chart Wizard, the only way to access it is to add the button to the Quick Access Toolbar.  Hope this helps.

  • Formatting is now performed through the Format tab as Dale is stating.  However, if you ever what to reset the formats back to the orginial styles you will need the Gantt Chart Wizard to do that.    For this reason, I have added the Wizard to my Formatting bar for easy access. It is far easier, however, to do most of your formatting through the Format bar.
