"The VPN client is unable to establish a connection" RRS feed

  • So, I can sign into my company's VPN web portal, but when I try to get into the CISCO intranet server within our VPN, it kicks me out.  Therefoore I cannot remote my desktop, get to my email, etc.  The error message given is listed as "The VPN client is unable to establish a connection".  I have already done the following suggested steps:

    1.) Taken down the firewall

    2.) Paised my anti-virus software during my secured connection attempt

    3.) Done a disk cleanup

    4.)  Took down my pop-up blocker and added all listed company portal sites to the trusted sites list in my internet options

    5.) Made sure my system isn't in protected mode

    I have a gateway FX system built for gaming and 3D graphic design.  It operates on Window's Vista (UNFORTUNATELY), and has Internet Explore 8.Does anyone have any suggetions for a resolution?
