I'm writing this message in response to rrjones on the other thread that is too many pages to be useful, since each one of these problems with a different bucket ID is a different problem and would be easier to discuss on different threads.

In the case of this crash, I suspect that your BITS database is corrupt.
This is discussed in the following KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940520
1. Please run the tool first.
2. If that doesn't work, please delete follow method 1 in the article.
