Sync Office 365 SharePoint to a local server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have a client that currently is running SharePoint from the cloud (Office365) and he wants to sync it to a local server.

Can this be done, and what would be the benefit if he did this?

He currently has 1 site with 1 domain controller.  I don't know enough about SharePoint to know if this will work and why he would want to do this.

  • Depends what he is trying to achieve.

If he just needs to access 'local copies' of documents in a document library then this can easily be done using the native SharePoint Sync options.

The SharePoint Migration Tool is not the solution as this only works from SP2013 to SPO and not visa versa (as far as I know).

You might be better posting your question in the SharePoint forums rather than this SPMT specific one.
